Steel Venturi (Steel base, plastic Venturi)
 
What is it?
This portable venturi aeration system was designed following a specific request by the Environment Agency. It is an inexpensive, efficient venturi aeration system that can be used with any 2” (50mm) centrifugal engine-driven water pump (most effective with pumps of a flow rate circa 600L/min). The venturi combines a 2” water flow with fresh air creating a ~25ft jet of oxygenated water to blast into your lake or pond.
The system can be deployed with the venturi in the water (with a snorkel); on the bank directing into the water; or on the bank with an outlet hose from the venturi into the water.
 
How to use it?
Attach your 2” water pump output hose to the venturi input, ensure the venturi intake is not submerged (position the venturi on the bank or use the snorkels if submerging the venturi).
Point the venturi in the direction you want the water output and oxygenation to go, start the pump and stand clear.
