Belvoir Lakes Carp Fishery

Belvoir Lakes

The fishery is made up of two waters, the 12 acre syndicate lake known as the Lower Lake & the 1/4 acre lake formerly known as the Small Lake and more recently as the  Belvoir Fishing Club.

This typical estate lake is shallow & silty with a variety of features, including islands, stream & bloodworm beds as well as waterfalls.

Memberships for the Lower Lake and Fishing Club are available on a syndicate only basis.

Membership is £450 per year.

Fish Stocks

The venue fishing is mixed, predominantly containing carp to 38lbs with the addition of Bream to 14lbs, Perch to 3lbs, pike to 25lbs, roach to 2lbs and Tench to 8lbs.

At present the lower lake contains ~400 carp to 38lbs with an average weight around the upper double to low 20s mark. The fish are young stock and growing well, we have had a good number of twenties and mid-twenties out. The lake has several strains of carp including our traditional scaly fish. The potential going forward for the lake is very exciting.

Site Specific Rules

Anglers can use a maximum of 3 rods. Belvoir is our only water where bait boats are allowed. There are a number of events held in the Castle Grounds each year that may affect the angling. The Belvoir Fishing Club opens from 1st April to the 1st November.
