The Memorial Trout Lakes - REOPEN

Originally conceived over 200 years ago by the country's greatest landscape architect, Capability Brown, his plans have been finally realised in line with the tercentenary of his birth.

Fish Stocks

This truly is a most stunning location to angle with Belvoir Castle as a back drop. The lakes have been stocked with Brown, Rainbow and Tiger Trout between 1.5 and 14lb.

Site Specific Rules

Catch and return is allowed if barbless hooks are used.

You must book in prior to fishing.

Great day, early morning the fish were hammering my dry flys but it was very high water and not the best weather making it a challenge

Strong NE wind made fishing challenging. Two caught on Black and green Cormorant. Top lake is really unfishable, 2ft below outlet and weed, at least the pump has gone so hopefully level will slowly rise.
